Couple things to try: Disconnect the keyboard from your computer. Right-click on the Start menu. Click the little icon in front of the entry to expand the keyboards segment.

Far Cry 4 on the other hand is no problem. But I've also read that Far Cry 3 faces random crashes for people, for some it might be solved by disabling the TabletInputInterface service. (just try disabling it from services.msc and reboot otherwise it won't stop). Further I'd like to update my statement regarding the benchmark tool.

For some reason, my games are being saved in the bin folder in the Far Cry 2 Steam directory and not in the "my Games" folder everyone says it is supposed to be in. The folder that they are in, is labeled ࠀܐ﮿翺ﯿ뿫䄡ᰀ敇畮湩䥥瑮汥. D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 2\bin\ࠀܐ﮿翺ﯿ뿫䄡

Thanks RedSwirl, I've deleted the Far Cry 2 folder and will now reinstall again. So it should go back to default setup. You didn't have to do that, you just had to change these settings in the XML :

Everytime i try to open it on steam it shows up the splash and, after a few seconds, it says "Far Cry 2 stopped working". I can't get this to work, dammit.
